Bharat Scouts & Guides celebrates Foundation Day in Bandipora

BANDIPORA: The Bandipora chapter of Jammu and Kashmir Bharat Scouts & Guides on Saturday celebrated 70th Foundation Day at Mini Secretariat Bandipora.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir was the chief guest on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, Mir lauded Bharat Scouts and Guides for working tirelessly for the welfare of the society especially during the current pandemic.

He said occasions like these provide an opportunity to the Bharat Scouts and Guides to highlight their activities and create awareness among the general public to extend their support for the growth of the organization.

Addressing the students, ADC called upon them to actively participate in the activities of Scouts and Guides movement besides taking part in extracurricular activities. He advised them to follow the motive of Scouts and Guides movement and encourage more and more youths to lend a helping hand towards eradicating social evils from society.

Joint Director Planning appealed to the members to actively participate in society oriented activities such as creating awareness among people on the important social issues.

During the programme, the students performed different cultural programmes.

The function was attended Joint Director Planning, Imtityaz Ahmad, Chief Education Officer, Javid Iqbal, District Organization Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad, District Secretary Anantnag, Rouf Ahmad, District Organizing Commissioner Pulwama, Mrs. Masarat, District Organizing Guide Hameeda Bano, District Secretary Srinagar Nayeema Mustafa, District Chief Commissioner GM Lone, District Organizing Commissioner Mohammad Rajab Bhat and scout masters and guide captains from various districts of the valley.
