KISHTWAR: People of 13 blocks today participated in Block Diwas events held at designated locations here across Kishtwar district.
At the district headquarter Kishtwar, the block Diwas was held under the overall supervision of Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik, here at Dak Banglow.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi, Tehsildar, Pramood Kumar, DYSSO Kharati Lal, besides other officials were also present at the event.
The elected PRIs apprised their grievances regarding the gaps in local infrastructure in the education and health sectors. The team of officers registered their grievances and assured for the early redress of the same.
The ADDC directed the heads of all the departments to work in tandem to redress the grievances of the public at their door step within a week’s time.
The ADDC also reviewed the progress in the redressing of grievances projected by the PRIs and people in previous block Diwas programmes.
Meanwhile, the departments sensitized the common masses about the various individual beneficiary schemes and the procedure for availing the benefits.
PRIs and public were asked to collectively participate in developmental processes and extend full cooperation to the line Departments. A number of individual oriented certificates were distributed on the spot among the beneficiaries.
Similar, activities were held at the Drabshalla which were presided over by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain in presence of local BDO, Sobia Fatima Shaad.
Redress camps were also held for sub-division Chatroo at at TRC Mughal Maidan under the chairmanship of local SDM, Inderjeet Singh Parihar.
At Marwah, block diwas was held under the overall management of BDO, Amjad Keen.
