‘Be-Rozgar se Swarozgar’: Awareness/ enrollment drive held at Hajin, B’pora

BANDIPORA: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad and in compliance to the instructions of LG’s Administration to identify and provide self-employment to at least 05 persons in every Panchayat, an Awareness cum Enrollment drive under Be Rozgar se Swa-Rozgar campaign was launched in Hajin Block on Monday.

The programme aimed to provide employment avenues to the unemployed youth which includes the financial support and skilling as a part of the process.

Chairman District Development Council, Abdul Gani Bhat; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Altaf Mosvi; BDO Hajin, Dr Nazir Ahmad Bhat and other senior officers and officials of the district were present on the occasion. 

During the programme, the officers and Resource Persons from various Line Departments viz. Employment, Animal/ Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Revenue and RDD interacted with the participating members of Panchayat Raj institutions and youth of the area.

The Officers made them aware about the various Government sponsored flagship programmes and schemes like Tejaswini, Mumkin, PMEGP, JKREGP, IDDS & IPDP, KCC, MIDH, ISDS, National Livestock Mission and RKVY schemes.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DDC said that such initiatives are aimed at empowering the unemployed youth of the district and providing handholding support to the aspiring educated unemployed youth to establish self-employment units in the promising and viable sectors/fields.

He urged the local unemployed youth to opt for the self-employment sector as a dignified alternative to the Government job to earn livelihood and become a job provider rather than a job seeker.

ACP said that no collateral security is required for eligible and desirous youth under different schemes of Mission Youth such as Mumkin and Tejaswini.

During the programmes, on the spot registrations of the prospective beneficiaries was also carried out by the officials of the line departments.

Mosavi said the 10-point campaign shall give a renewed push to the implementation of employment and other beneficiary oriented schemes.

“The objective of the campaign is to achieve quantifiable results within specific timelines, in an effort to touch the lives of ordinary citizens at grassroots level,” he added.

BDO Hajin briefed the audience about various initiatives of the government including Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani, Yogyata Se Rojgar Mahotsav, Janta Ki Scheme-Janta ki Bhagidari, One Person One Golden Cards, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, Berojgar Se Swa-Rojgar, Har Kam Ki Shuruat, Har Gaon Swachh Gaon and Har Gaon Hariyali.
