SRINAGAR: Asian Paints, India’s leading paint and décor brand, has launched eight new experiential stores in Kashmir — four ColourIdeas showrooms and four Colour Cube shop-in-shops. This marks the largest retail network by any paint and décor brand in J&K, giving customers one-stop access to paints, textures, wallpapers, and wood finishes.
A spokesman of the company said that with five stores in Srinagar alone, new outlets will come up in Baramulla, Sopore, Ganderbal, Budgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Anantnag bring premium décor closer to people across the region. The expansion makes Asian Paints the first brand to introduce organized, design-led décor stores in Kashmir, moving beyond traditional paint shops to full-fledged décor destinations.
These stores allow customers to see, touch, and visualize products, from luxury paint finishes to wallpapers and textured walls. For a market where woodwork is central and wallpapers are still new, the experience centres help homeowners and professionals make confident choices through life-size displays and digital visualization tools.
The ColourIdeas showrooms are immersive décor hubs with a dedicated WoodTech zone tailored for Kashmir, featuring bigger panels, Italian wood finishes for khatamband ceilings, and the exclusive Aks-e-Kashmir range of textures and shades. Customers can preview over 3,000 shades in 3D, explore designer wallpapers like Sabyasachi and Good Earth, and access waterproofing, imported finishes, and expert colour consultations — making them complete décor destinations.
The more compact Colour Cube stores, set up inside existing dealer outlets, offer a 100–150 sq. ft. curated display of paints, textures, and wallpapers. While simpler than ColourIdeas, they provide a strong touch-and-feel experience and highlight Asian Paints’ Beautiful Homes Painting Services (BHPS), ensuring professional painting support with guaranteed timelines.
Beyond homes, Asian Paints has worked on tunnels, flyovers, luxury hotels, and AIIMS Kashmir, while also empowering local dealers, contractors, and craftsmen with advanced tools and training. With this expansion, Asian Paints now holds the largest and strongest presence in J&K, blending Kashmir’s heritage with modern finishes and setting a new benchmark in décor retail.
Amit Syngle, MD & CEO, Asian Paints said, “Kashmir has a unique design language, one that is rich in woodcraft, texture and warmth. We are proud to be the first to introduce dedicated physical experience stores in Kashmir, bringing our premium offerings and expert services closer to customers in the region. With the ColourIdeas and Colour Cube formats from Asian Paints, we are playing a larger role in the home décor journey of consumers by bringing to them a complete gamut of products & décor solutions. These stores offer the full spectrum of Asian Paints’ expertise — from our authentic shade palettes and premium textures to our long-lasting wood finishes. We want to empower Kashmir’s homeowners to see, touch, and visualise the transformation of their spaces before making a choice bringing together the best of design, technology, and personalized consultation.”
Asian Paints’ eight new stores expand its reach in J&K, giving consumers direct access to premium finishes.
