All flights cancelled at Srinagar airport after snowfall

SRINAGAR: Moderate to heavy snowfall across Kashmir on Wednesday led to cancellation of flights at Srinagar airport even as the Meteorological department predicted improvement in weather from afternoon.

“Due to bad weather/ Heavy snowfall, all flights has been cancelled (sic),” Srinagar Airport authorities said on Twitter.

Fresh snowfall began today morning at many places across the valley including summer capital Srinagar, breaking the intense cold wave conditions.

Weatherman has predicted another heavy spell of snow from Saturday, which he said could disrupt surface and air connectivity of the valley.
