Interacts with SBDUs and BHDs, calls for enhancing grassroots outreach
SHOPIAN: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Shishir Gupta, a review-cum-interaction meeting under Mission YUVA was held here today at Mini-Secretariat Shopian under the chairmanship of the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone.
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of ongoing activities under Mission YUVA at the subdivision level, identifying key challenges and discussing measures to enhance efficiency and coordination among stakeholders.
Officers briefed the chair on the status of implementation, highlighting achievements, pending cases at the bank level and field-level constraints.
The ADDC stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination and robust monitoring mechanisms to ensure that the intended benefits reach the public. He assured full institutional support from the district administration and highlighted the need for youth-led development and community participation to build a strong entrepreneurship ecosystem in the district.
Directions were issued to the concerned bank representatives to prioritize the sanctioning and disbursal of cases.
Newly recruited SBDU and BHD members were welcomed and emphasized the critical role they play in the effective execution of Mission YUVA.The interaction session provided a platform for open discussion, during which participants shared suggestions and feedback aimed at enhancing grassroots outreach.
The meeting was attended by ACR, Shakoor Ahmed Dar; Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zainapora, Bilal Ahmed, officers from the Employment Department, NRLM, bank representatives and newly recruited SBDU and BHD members.
