ACB produces charge sheet against officials of MC Hajin

Bandipora: After serious allegations, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has produced charge sheet against 18 officials who were working in the Municipal Committee Hajin.

According to reports the Anti-Corruption Bureau (North Kashmir) on Tuesday produced Charge Sheet before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Baramulla in Case FIR 13/2013 U/S 5(1) (D), 5(2) J&K P.C. Act, Svt. 2006 R/W Section 120-B RPC of P/S Anti-corruption Bureau Kashmir against some officials of Municipal Committee Hajin.

Sources said, that vide government order no: 119-HUD of 2019 dated 25-04-2019, accord of sanction to the prosecution of in service accused public servant namely, Abdul Rashid Shah S/O Noor U Din R/O Papchan Bandipora, the then Executive Officer, MC Hajin and Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat S/O Abdul Rehman Bhat R/O Bandipora Plan, the then Establishment In charge, MC Hajin in case FIR no: 13/2013, P/S VOK (now ACB).

“There are widespread irregularities in various Municipal Committees and Councils in Kashmir valley, one fails to understand that who has made the illegal appointments and there is an embezzlement of funds too with the result there is a huge loss to the state exchequer,” sources said.

He said that, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has considered the records and evidences collected by investigating agency and taking into account all the facts and circumstances of case satisfied to prima facie for commission of offences punishable U/S 5(1) (D) RIW 5 (2) PC Act, Svt 2006 and section 120-B RPC is made out against in service accused public servants and beneficiaries namely Imtiyaz Ahmad Parray S/O Mohd Yousf Parray R/O Hap Bandipora, the then president MC Hajin, Abdul Rashid Shah S/O Noor U Din Shah R/O Papchan Bandipora, the then Executive Officer MC Hajin, Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat S/O Ab Rehman Bhat R/O Bandipora Plan, the then Establisment In-charge MC Hajin, Imtiyaz Ahmad Parray S/O Ab Rehman Parray R/O Hajin, Sameer Mushtaq Wani S/O Mushtaq Ahmad Wani R/O Mader Bandipora, Saima Iqbal D/O Mohd Iqbal Kochay R/O Nowpora Bandipora, Mohd Tohah S/O Mohd Musa R/O Silmoo Kargil, Mohd Ayaz Malla S/O Mohd Sultan Malla R/O Hajin, Manzoor Ahmad Wani S/O Ab Ahad Wani R/O Zoonipora Hajin, Rameez Hafeez Mir S/O Hafizullah Mir R/O Bandipora, Nasrullah Parray S/O Qamardin Parray R/O Hajin, Mohd Ishfaq Wani S/O Bashir Ahmad Wani R/O Hajin, Ishfaq un Nabi S/O Gh Nabi Parray R/O Hajin, Hilal Ahmad Wani S/O Gh Mohd Wani R/O Hajin, Feroz Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohd Afzal Bhat R/O Kamad Anantnag, Shah Umer S/O Ab Rashid Peerzada R/O Bandipora, Majid Hussain Bhat S/O Bashir Ahmad Bhat R/O Delina Baramulla and Shariq Nadeem Wani S/O Gh Mohi-d Din R/O Bandipora for which they should be prosecuted.

The order further reads that, no such prosecution can be launched against an in service public servant with prior sanction from the competent authority as envisaged under section 6 of J&K P C Act, 2006, sources while quoting the order said.

“Now therefore, in pursuance of section 6 of J&K P C Act, 2006, sanction is hereby accorded for prosecution for in service accused public servants namely, Abdul Rashid Shah the then Executive Officer MC Hajin and Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat the then Establishment In charge MC Hajin for commission of offences punishable U/S 5(1)(D) R/W 5(2) PC Act, Svt.2006 and section 120-B RPC in case FIR NO.13/2013 P/S Vigilance Organization Kashmir.

However sources further said that, now the Anti-Corruption Bureau has produced charge sheet against the then eighteen officials of MC Hajin for illegal appointments.
