JRL calls shutdown in Kashmir on December 10, asks people to observe it as black day

SRINAGAR: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for a shutdown in Kashmir on Monday, December 10 and urged people to observe it as a ‘black day’.

December 10 is celebrated globally as Human Rights Day.

In a statement, JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik urged the people to observe complete shutdown to highlight the human rights violations in Kashmir valley.

The leadership appealed to the international human rights agencies to take note of “grave” human rights violations taking place in Kashmir and force India to stop the violations, said the statement.
