Killing of BJP leader: Curfew relaxed for two hours in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: The district administration on Monday announced a relaxation of two hours in the curfew imposed in Kishtwar following the killing of a senior BJP leader and his brother.

Meanwhile, life remained crippled for the fourth consecutive day following the killing of BJP’s State Secretary for Jammu and Kashmir Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar on Thursday evening.

A district administration official said the curfew was relaxed from 2 PM to 4 PM.

Soon after relaxation, people rushed to the market to purchase essential commodities.

Meanwhile, large contingents of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in the district to “maintain law and order in the area.”
