DH Admin. Gbl refutes news regarding its functioning

GANDERBAL: The Authorities at District Hospital (DH) Ganderbal have strongly refuted news published in an English daily newspaper titled ‘Ganderbal District Healthcare system needs attention and improvement’ with specific mention of Blood Bank functioning at DH Ganderbal. 

As per the official statement, the general public is hereby informed that Blood Bank License has been issued to this Hospital on 03 July 2021, and since then the Hospital administration has geared its efforts to make the Blood Bank Unit Operational. 

The statement further reads that after the receipt of License, the Hospital administration has put in place the Machinery/Equipments in the Blood Bank Unit which has been supplied by the JKMSCL and other Government authorities from time to time and the administration is consistently working for making other equipments and infrastructure available in the Hospital. 

Regarding augmenting the Paramedical staff and doctors, the Hospital administration said that the human resources have been augmented in order to make the Unit operational in the coming days.

The training of augmented staff has also been ensured at GMC Srinagar in the 1st Week of September and at present the trained staff is working in the Unit for operational preparedness of Blood Bank. 

It has further been given out that the procurement process of operational requirements for the Blood Bank Unit is underway and the same shall be completed soon for the Operational purpose of the Unit.

The administration has almost completed 90 percent of work on requisite infrastructure for making the Unit Operational and within 02 Weeks’ time the Unit will be thrown open for the general public.
