KUPWARA: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kupwara, Mukhtar Sofi Saturday distributed masks and sanitizers among sumo drivers of the district hired for conveyance of Election staff to protect them from the harm of COVID-19.
On the occasion, ARTO said that the Motor Vehicle Department, Kupwara is always committed for safety and welfare of transport community of the district and special emphasis is given during COVID-19 crisis. He asked driver community to observe covid SOP in their day to day activities especially while ferrying passengers.
Meanwhile, the sumo drivers expressed their satisfaction over the gesture of ARTO.
