Takes stock of Eid-e-Milad-arrangements

KULGAM: To enhance capacities of Child protection functionaries at block and village level in district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the activity calendar of Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS).

During the meeting the Chairperson, ICPS, Bashir Ahmad Khan, apprised the meeting about the functioning of ICPS.

He informed that any child in need of care and protection and children in conflict with law can call on toll free number 1098 and within the shortest possible time these children will get help.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO and DPO to put this toll free number at display at schools and Anganwadi centers.

The meeting was attended by Principal Magistrate JJB Kulgam, ADDC, ADC, ACD, CMO, CEO, DSP HQs and other officers and officials

Later the DC chaired a separate meeting of officers to take stock of arrangements put in place for smooth celebration of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

During the meeting, the DC directed the Executive Officer Municipality Kulgam to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation cum fumigation in and around the shrines and mosques.

He also directed the concerned Ex. Engineers of PDD and Jal Shakti to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during these days.

The DC instructed the concerned for pressing water tanker service wherever required besides installation of new street lights and ensure repair of all defunct high mast lights.

During the meeting the DDC also reviewed the availability of essential commodities and directed the concerned officers for conducting market checks to curb profiteering.

The concerned officers and members of Auqaf Committee were asked to adhere to the guidelines and SOP’s in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting was attended by ACR, SDM Noorabad, DSP-Hq, CMO, Tehsildar, Ex. Engineers of PDD and Jal Shakti besides various District Officers and members of Auqaf Committee Kulgam.
