KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today chaired a meeting of the District Level Telecom Committee (DTC) at the Mini Meeting Hall, DC Office Complex, to review the status of telecom infrastructure development in the district, with special focus on 4G saturation and BharatNet implementation across all Panchayats.
During the meeting, detailed discussions held on mobile tower saturation, augmentation of signals, pending land allocation for towers, Right of Way (RoW) issues, power connection status.
Emphasis was laid on expediting ongoing execution of works and ensuring smooth inter-departmental coordination.
Regarding Amended BharatNet Programme (ABP) progress report was shared by PIA/BSNL during the meeting. The DC stressed on hustle free RoW permissions, utilisation of existing infrastructure for BharatNet connectivity.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad , SE R&B, Executive Engineers of R&B/ PMGSY, OC-Beacon and other senior Officers of concerned departments as well as telecom representatives.
