SAMBA: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan today presided over a comprehensive review meeting to assess and finalize the arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations, 2026.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed sector-wise review of preparedness and issued directions to all concerned line departments to ensure the smooth, peaceful and dignified conduct of the celebrations.
Emphasis was laid on key aspects including security and traffic management, sanitation and cleanliness, uninterrupted power and water supply, health and medical preparedness, fire and emergency services, venue management, public address systems and contingency planning.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination, timely execution of assigned responsibilities and strict adherence to established protocols.
Special instructions were issued regarding crowd management, cleanliness drives at public places, readiness of medical teams and ambulances.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba Jagdish Singh, Dy SP Garu Ram Choudhary and senior officers from the Civil Administration, Police, Health, Municipal Services, Power Development, Jal Shakti, Fire & Emergency Services, Transport and other concerned departments.
