NEW DELHI: The stage is set for the swearing-in of the Bihar government after the ruling BJP-JDU-led dispensation returned to power with a historic mandate of 202 seats in a house of 243.

Hindustani Awam Morcha chief Jitan Manjhi, who is in Delhi, on Monday said the swearing-in is scheduled for November 20.

He anticipated around 35 ministers in Bihar with 14 to 15 from the BJP, 12 to 13 of the JDU, three of the LJPRV and one each from HAM and Rashtriya Lok Manch.

Nothing is official yet, Manjhi told reporters here.

He credited Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support for Bihar for the landslide verdict.

He said the women of Bihar overwhelmingly voted for NDA disregarding what stance their husbands took.

Meanwhile, the BJP legislature party will meet at the Patna headquarters of the party to select their leader on Tuesday following which the NDA will choose its leader.

Nitish Kumar is set to be CM again, sources said, referring to Modi publicly hailing Kumar’s phenomenal leadership in a victory speech at the BJP headquarters on November 14.
