ADDC Shopian finalizes Modalities for Week-long celebration of ‘Vande Mataram’ Campaign

Departments assigned roles to ensure smooth conduct of the week-long nationwide campaign.

SHOPIAN: In a significant move to mark the 150th anniversary of the composition of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, today convened a meeting at the Mini Secretariat Shopian to finalize the modalities for a week-long celebration under the Vande Mataram Campaign.

The campaign, which will be observed from November 7 to November 14, 2025, aims to evoke a spirit of patriotism and unity among citizens through a series of cultural and educational activities.

During the meeting, department-wise responsibilities were assigned to ensure the smooth and coordinated execution of the campaign across the district.

The ADDC emphasized the importance of active participation from all departments, educational institutions, and community stakeholders to make the campaign a grand success.

As part of the district-level celebrations, a variety of events have been planned, including the singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ in schools and public places, cultural programmes, exhibitions, competitions, and special assemblies highlighting the historical and national significance of the song.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Shopian, Shakoor Ahmad Dar; and other district and sectoral officers.
