PCCF J&K reviews Forestry Works in Pir Panjal Forest Division

BUDGAM: The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, S.K. Gupta, conducted an extensive field visit to the Pir Panjal Forest Division to assess the implementation of works under CAMPA and Demarcation works in the Doodganga Range. 

During the inspection, the PCCF reviewed various developmental, plantation, and conservation initiatives being undertaken across the Division. 

He emphasized the importance of completing all activities within stipulated timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Commending the sincere efforts of the frontline staff, he encouraged them to continue contributing diligently towards the department’s green mission.

Marking the occasion, PCCF planted a conifer sapling at Nilnag under the banner of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, symbolizing the department’s continued commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement in plantation drives.

He also unveiled an informative pamphlet on Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFP), highlighting the Division’s significant strides in sustainable resource management and the promotion of livelihood opportunities for forest-dependent communities.

The visit concluded with an interactive session with field officials, where PCCF commended their dedication to forest protection and urged them to strengthen community-based forestry initiatives and ecological restoration efforts.

The PCCF was accompanied by Chief Conservator of Forests, Irfan Rasool Wani; Divisional Forest Officer, Pir Panjal Division, Deputy Director Forest Protection Force, Divisional Manager Forest Development Corporation Budgam, Range Officers, and Range Officers and Assistant Directors FPF department.
