DC Pulwama hails SSP’s efforts for youth engagement and community policing
PULWAMA: The District Administration Pulwama accorded a warm farewell to the outgoing Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama, P.D. Nitya, on her transfer, in recognition of her dedicated and professional service to the district during her tenure.
A special farewell function was organized earlier at the Circuit House Pulwama by the District Administration to honour the officer’s remarkable contribution towards maintaining peace, promoting youth engagement, and strengthening community–police relations in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr. Basharat Qayoom appreciated P.D. Nitya’s professionalism, commitment, and people-centric approach to policing.
He lauded her for her crucial role in the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections, and for being instrumental in youth engagement through proactive outreach and trust-building measures.
In her remarks, SSP P.D. Nitya expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Administration for the warm farewell and appreciation. She acknowledged the support and cooperation extended by all departments and officers during her posting and said that her interaction with the people of Pulwama has been both wonderful and enriching, offering valuable insights into the aspirations of the people.
The farewell function was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama, and other officers from the district administration, police, and defence establishments.
