DC Shopian chairs Grievance Redressal Camp at Zampathri Keller

SHOPIAN: As part of the Government’s ongoing Public Outreach and Grievance Redressal Programme, the District Administration Shopian today conducted a Grievance Redressal Camp at Panchayat Halqa Zampathri Keller, presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta.

The event aimed to bring the administration closer to the people and ensure that public grievances are addressed promptly at their doorsteps.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation of senior citizens,women, youth and locals from Zampathri and adjoining villages who raised a wide range of issues pertaining to road connectivity especially Zampathri to Tragpathri road, Shukroo road, Gandow road, Keller/Zrakan/Mashwara road, play ground at Zampathri, healthcare facilities, dearth of staff in Keller Hospital, irrigation,drinking water & power supplies,development of Tourism infrastructure in the area, installation of Transformers, upliftment of education, livestock development and horticulture support.

While interacting with the public, The DC listened to all grievances patiently and issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers for early redressal and appropriate action.He stressed on responsive, transparent and accountable governance, urging departments to act promptly on the issues projected by the people.

The DC assured that the administration is fully committed to resolving public issues in a time-bound manner and emphasized that such grievance redressal camps are an integral part of participatory governance while directing officers to make regular field visits to assess ground-level issues and to ensure the saturation of government schemes, particularly those aimed at youth empowerment, livelihood generation, rural infrastructure and welfare of weaker sections.

Officers from departments including Rural Development, KPDCL, Jal Shakti, Health, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare and Revenue departments were present and responded to the grievances raised by the locals. Many issues of public importance were resolved on the spot, while others were taken up for early action at the district level.

ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, Tehsildar, Keller, Latafat Shawl and other officers and officials alongwith people in large number participated in the said event.
