DC Reasi approves 344 cases under Mission YUVA to boost youth Entrepreneurship

REASI: In a bid to boost youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik today presided over the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting to review and sanction cases under the Mission YUVA scheme.

The meeting commenced with an extensive discussion on applications submitted through the Skill and Business Development Unit (SBDU). After detailed scrutiny and evaluation, the committee, led by the Deputy Commissioner, approved 344 cases for financial assistance and institutional support under the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Reasi Nidhi Malik underlined the significance of Mission YUVA in enhancing skill development, encouraging entrepreneurship, and generating self-employment avenues for the district’s youth. She further stressed the importance of strong post-approval guidance and continuous monitoring to ensure long-term sustainability of the supported ventures.

The Deputy Commissioner also called for better inter-departmental coordination to widen the scheme’s reach and impact. Directions were issued to banks for speedy processing and timely disbursement of approved cases.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Reasi Sukhdev Singh Samyal, DSWO Sachin Sharma, Assistant Director Employment Annie Vaid, representatives from banks, the District Industries Centre and other concerned officials.
