4 schools in Delhi’s Dwarka receive bomb threat

NEW DELHI: Four schools in Delhi’s Dwarka — DPS Dwarka; Modern Convent School, Sector 4; Shriram World School, Sector 10; and BGS International Public School, Sector 5 received bomb threat via email on Monday morning. 

Following the threat, teams from Delhi Police, fire service and bomb threat squad are carrying out a search operation on the premises.

“Dear parents, we want to inform you that our school received a bomb threat via email earlier today. As a precautionary measure, we have immediately alerted the police, and the bomb squad is on their way to investigate. Students will be in the school ground under the supervision of the teachers and administration till the squad completes the search,” a message to parents from a school read. 

“We understand this news may be alarming, but please rest assured that we are following all safety protocols and working closely with law enforcement to ensure the security of our students and staff. All assessments scheduled for today stand cancelled,” the message added.

Similar threats had also affected the education institutes in the national capital last month. St Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley in Vasant Kunj, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, Mother’s International in Hauz Khas, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate had received bomb threat emails, which were later declared hoax.
