KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the preparedness for celebration of Independence Day-2025 in the district.
DC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure fool proof arrangements well in advance at DPL Kupwara, the main venue for national event celebration to avoid any inconvenience during the celebration of the Independence Day.
Various departments including Education, PHE, R&B, Information, Health, Sports, Traffic, Motor Vehicles, PDD and Municipality were directed to look after their respective assignments.
The decoration of the main venue, seating arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water/tanker service, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, refreshment, invitations, PAS system, cleanliness and sanitation measures were discussed threadbare in the meeting. Illumination of important Government buildings and main offices will also be ensured.
Ayushi emphasized the importance of national event and directed the departments to make sure that every arrangement is meticulously executed.
She enjoined upon all the departments to work in close coordination to ensure seamless celebration of the Independence Day functions.
ADC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad; ACD, CEO and other district officers were present in the meeting.
