RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a comprehensive meeting in the VC Room of the DC Office Complex to review the physical and financial progress of works being executed by the RDD
The meeting focused on key performance indicators under flagship schemes such as MGNREGA and PMAY. The DDC took a detailed review of the status of physical verification, geo-tagging of assets, timely wage payments under MGNREGA, and the total number of person-days generated till date. He also assessed the construction of check dams across various blocks to enhance water conservation and livelihood opportunities.
While reviewing the PMAY, the DDC expressed concern over delays by some beneficiaries and directed the concerned officers to initiate recovery of installments from individuals who have failed to commence construction despite receiving funds.
The DDC emphasized the need to expedite the generation of person-days under MGNREGA and ensure timely completion of all sanctioned works. He reiterated the importance of transparency, adherence to scheme guidelines and doorstep delivery of services to the public.
“Officers must ensure that every rupee spent reaches the intended beneficiary and that all works are executed as per the prescribed norms. There should be no compromise on quality or accountability,” he said.
The meeting was attended by CPO Maqsood Ahmed, ACP, Sheraz Chouhan, ACD Auqil Naveed, DSEO, Sandeep Sharma and Block Development Officers of the district.
