‘Shaan-e-Ramadan fest- 2025’ concludes at KU

SRINAGAR: To celebrate the spiritual essence of Ramadan and provide a platform for students to showcase their talent, the prize distribution ceremony of two-day festival ‘Shaan-e-Ramadan 2025’ was held at the varsity.

The event was organized by the Division of Youth Affairs, Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW), KU.

It aimed to felicitate the winners of various competitions as part of this festival from March 25 to March 26. The event also served as a platform to inspire students to engage with the spiritual and cultural essence of the holy month.

Speaking at the occasion, Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Nilofer Khan, who was the chief guest, congratulated the participants and organizers for their efforts in making the event a success.

“These events not only strengthen our faith but also offer young students a chance to display their talents in a meaningful way,” she said.

She also emphasized the significance of such programs in developing spiritual growth and providing a creative platform for students.

Registrar KU, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, who was the guest of honour, appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and highlighted the university’s commitment to supporting student-driven cultural and spiritual initiatives.

Earlier, Dean Students’ Welfare KU, Prof. Pervez Ahmad, welcomed the guests and participants, and underscored the importance of such events in connecting students with cultural and spiritual traditions.
