SRINAGAR: Four rifles are missing from the residence of a senior Congress leader in Jawahar Nagar area of Srinagar, officials said today.
Reports said that the rifles are missing from J37 quarter, which is the official residence of senior Congress leader Muhammad Muzaffar Parray.
Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Range, S P Pani confirmed to Greater Kashmir that four rifles were missing.
In September this year, a special police officer looted seven rifles and a licensed pistol from the residence of a PDP leader in the same locality.
The SPO, Adil Bashir Sheikh, had later appeared in a picture along with a group of militants. The looted weapons were also displayed in the photograph.
