JAMMU: A meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC), Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) and Business Help Desk (BHD) Heads was held today at DC Office in Jammu. Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya, the committee approved 112 cases under the Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) scheme with the cumulative figure of approved cases reaching 302.
The meeting’s main objective was to review and approve applications submitted by young, aspiring entrepreneurs.
After careful scrutiny and discussion, the committee approved 112 eligible cases for financial support and guidance. The Deputy Commissioner assigned specific targets to the Business Help Desk Heads for the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for applications received under Mission YUVA.
The chair highlighted the importance of Mission YUVA in empowering local youth and helping them build sustainable livelihoods. He emphasised the need for holding awareness camps to attract more young people toward self-employment so they can earn their livelihood.
Besides Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu Sher Singh, Deputy Director Employment Sunaina Saini, the meeting was also attended by DLIC and SBDU members and BHD Heads. BHD Heads (SDMs) attended the meeting virtually from their respective headquarters.
