COVID-19: 25 cases test positive, tally mounts to 664 in J&K

SRINAGAR: Twenty five fresh cases of COVID-19  were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday taking the tally of total number of positive cases in the UT to 664

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that out of 25 new cases 06 were tested positive at SKIMS Lab while as 19 were tested positive at CD hospital Lab.

Among the new 25 cases, 15 are from Srinagar, 04 from Anantnag and 03 each from Baramulla and Shopian. Officials from SKIMS said that out of 613 samples tested, 06 were found positive, adding that among them 03 are from Baramulla while as three are from Shopian.

Officials from GMC Srinagar said that out of 470 samples tested, 19 were tested positive, among them 15 are from Srinagar and 04 from Anantnag

They said among 15 from Srinagar, 5 belong to single family of Batpora Rainawari tested positive on Saturday, 10 were tested positive on Friday night including 8 from Jogi Lanker Srinagar, one from Narwara, who has a travel history of Delhi and other is an employee of LD hospital who was already on sick leave.

Pertinently with new 25 cases, the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 664 including 58 from Jammu and 606 from Kashmir division.
